Why call us

What you get when we do it.

The last pass comes after the oaks are done, so you're not looking at a covered lawn at Christmas. The leaves leave on our trailer.

  • A first pass in late October
  • A second pass in mid-November
  • A final pass December 1–15, after the oaks have dropped
  • Leaves cleared from the lawn, beds, drive and walks
  • Hauled away, not bagged at the curb

What we know

What we'd tell you standing in your driveway.

Useful whether or not you ever call us.

01

Matted leaves smother fescue

Fall is when tall fescue does its growing. A wet mat of leaves left for a few weeks blocks the light right when the lawn needs it, and you get thin patches in spring.

02

Don't wait for the last leaf

Maples and poplars drop early, oaks hang on into December. One big cleanup at the end means the lawn sat under leaves for a month.

03

A light layer can be mowed in

If you can still see grass through the leaves, running a mower over them chops them fine enough to break down. Once they're thick, they need to come off.

04

Keep leaves out of the storm drain

Leaves blown into the street clog drains and end up in the creek. Blow them onto the lawn or into beds, not the gutter.

Questions

What people ask about it.

Do you haul the leaves away?

Yes. They go on the trailer and leave with us — nothing bagged at the curb for you to deal with.

When should leaves be removed in Nashville?

In passes, starting late October. The final pass belongs in the first half of December, because the oaks around here are some of the last trees to drop.

Why three leaf passes instead of one?

One cleanup at the end leaves the lawn under leaves for weeks during fescue's growing season. Three passes keeps it uncovered and does the job once the trees are actually bare.

A picture tells us more than a form does. Text one over and we'll come back with a price — the message already says what it's about.
