A soggy patch is a leak
A spot that stays wet or a zone with weak spray usually means a cracked line or a broken head underground. Low pressure across every zone points back toward the valve or the supply.

Water deep, early, and less often
Fescue needs about an inch of water a week in summer, rain included. Water early in the morning — evening watering keeps the grass wet overnight and invites brown patch.

Clay can't drink it all at once
Heavy clay soil takes water slowly, so long run times just run off into the street. Split each zone into two or three shorter cycles instead.

Adjust the controller with the season
A schedule set for July wastes water in April and October. Turn it down in spring and fall, and off when it rains.

What people ask about it.
When should I turn my sprinklers back on in Tennessee?
Once the hard freezes are done, usually late March or April around Nashville. A cold snap after start-up can still crack exposed parts.
Can you fix a sprinkler head that won't pop up?
Yes. It's usually dirt in the head, a worn seal or low pressure in that zone, and we'll find which before replacing anything.
Do you install new sprinkler systems?
No. New irrigation design and install is licensed work in Tennessee. We start up, repair and winterize systems that are already in the ground.
